THE ST. JOHN INDUSTRIAL GROUP encourages everyone to Celebrate Louisiana! Our state is a great place in which to live, work and play. We enjoy great weather with a long growing season for gardening and seldom experience freezing temperatures. In Louisiana, we experience life to its fullest by celebrating at every opportunity. We appreciate food, dancing, music, the arts, nature and the outdoors, sport teams, parades and fun – we celebrate! We possess and share our friendly, neighborhood spirit which carries over to our workplace, where employees take their work as seriously as they play.

Throughout St. John the Baptist Parish, opportunities abound to Celebrate Louisiana! From the Andouille Festival and United Way Golf Tournament to Mardi Gras and Christmas parades, residents enjoy all that is local. Fireworks displays, Veterans luncheons, children’s fishing camp and participation in the Household Hazardous Materials Collection Day are only a few community activities that unite us in a positive way.

Because food, cooking and eating constitute a large part of all our gatherings, we have included a few recipes and sprinkled them throughout this newsletter, which we hope you try and enjoy. Each company reporting in this newsletter has policies, programs and practices regarding the environment and conducts its business with respect and care for the environment. All are active in the St. John Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and support outreach efforts to the schools and community. Products made at these St. John facilities become useful and essential products we all use on a daily basis including baby diapers, soaps and steel guardrails on highways, among many others.
